eClosing with Snapdocs

Maxwell eClosing - Snapdocs Integration

We have an integration for eClosing with Snapdocs the leading provider in eClosing. This integration was built to optimize hybrid eClosings for borrowers. Lenders can generate Closing Docs packages through one of two methods.

• Directly from the Snapdocs platform

• From an Encompass LOS integration

Once the closing docs package is generated, the Point of Sale will create a task for the borrower to review and sign their closing docs package in the POS. The borrower will receive an email notifying them their closing docs are available and the link will direct them to their POS task where they can review and sign the documents. This way, borrowers will be able to view the documents and sign without the need to create a new account with Snapdocs.

Borrower can verify the status of the closing tasks

Lenders can generate a closing docs task from the Snapdocs app. When this happens, borrowers will receive an email letting them know that the closing docs are available and ready to sign on a new task in the POS. Both borrowers and Lenders will be able to see the status of the task. If it has been signed or if it has already been seen.

We also offer the ability to generate closing docs tasks from the Encompass LOS.

From Encompass, it is possible to send the document to Snapdocs

Testing Snapdocs

Create Application File & Push To Encompass

In the Lender Hub for the site, create a new application file. You may also create one from the Borrower Hub. The easiest way to create a new file is with our 3.4 import feature.

In the Lender Hub go into that application file, click on “Services” tab, and then “Encompass”, and push the application file to Encompass so the application file has an Encompass Loan ID.

Encompass Steps

Login to Encompass through Remote Desktop Workspace.

You can download the sample closing PDF here.

Find the application you just pushed in the pipeline and go into it:

In the top right, click on eFolder:

Double click on Unsigned Closing Documents:

Click on Browse and Attach icon in top right:

Select the sample closing document PDF file. You might need to browse to where you downloaded it earlier. Once the file is processed, click close button in bottom right.

Click Close again to close out of the eDocuments modal.

In the loan, in the bottom left scroll down to Snapdocs and click it.

Ensure all required (red border) fields are filled, then click Send to Snapdocs button.

This process takes a few minutes. Once the closing is created, documents are uploaded, and Snapdocs finishes processing everything and notifies us, the Closing Documents task will be created for the borrower in the POS.

Borrower UX

Login as borrower on Borrower Hub site. Create the login if you haven’t logged in yet. You can go to /signup page to get instantly directed to the sign up - use same email address as the one for the application file. Verify email address and agree to terms if necessary.

Ensure First Name and Last Name are filled out on the application and they match the information entered in the Snapdocs closing:

You should see in Followup Tasks a new Closing Documents task:

View the task, and it will show the borrower with signing status and a “Review and sign documents” button:

Click Review & sign, and you will be redirected to Snapdocs. It will text a code to the phone number you entered on the closing:

Once logged in, you’ll land directly on previewing the document:

Review the document then click eSign Next button in lower right:

Click agree checkbox then Continue button:

Click Start button:

Click Sign:

Sign:

Click Finish:

Clicking on Return to Dashboard should redirect back to the borrower task in POS.

In the Borrower Hub you will now see the signing status is signed and the review button is disabled.

Complete Closing

Sign in Snapdocs closing as the LO (https://maxwelltestlender2.cx-int0.snpd.io/ for Snapdocs Demo).. It will show the consumer signing is complete.

Go to signing appointment and click Complete signing:

Go back to the borrower hub and refresh the page. The task status will now show as Complete!
