# Verification of Assets (VOA)

Lenders who use one of Maxwell's integrated VOA providers can ask borrowers to connect with their financial institutions so we can pull a verification of assets report from the point of sale from either the lender services experience or from the [**lender services tab**](/platform-overview/lender-hub/services/verification-of-assets.md) or from an [**automated borrower workflow**](/platform-overview/lender-hub/borrower-tasks/automated-borrower-pre-qualification-workflows.md)**.**

Click on one of the links above to learn more about how VOA work within your POS workflows.

### How VOA works

From services you can initiate a Verification of Assets task for your borrower and view the report that comes back from your provider once the report is generated.

1. Go to Services tab --> Verification of Assets
2. Click **Send Request Assets task to borrower**
3. Send to borrower or configure the message.
 1. As a default setting **"Link Accounts"** will be selected which will require your borrower to connect to their financial institutions. If you would like them to manually enter some account information you could select **"Both"**
